The Competition Council has approved the transaction by which Abatorul Periș S.A. intends to acquire Almado Total Distribution S.R.L., Cathedral Distribution S.R.L., and Policalita S.R.L.

Abatorul Periș produces and wholesales fresh meat products and retails fresh and processed meat products.

Almado retails fresh and processed meat products, while Cathedral and Policalita wholesale fresh and processed meat products. The companies are owned by Alin-Georgian Zamfira.

Following the analysis, the Competition Council found that the notified operation does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition in the Romanian market or part of it, and there are no serious doubts about its compatibility with a normal competitive environment.

The decision will be published on the website of the national competition authority after the removal of confidential information.
