In preparation for this year's project submission session, the Agency for Rural Investment Financing (AFIR) announces that it has published the Applicant's Guide for the DR-30 intervention "Support for the installation of young farmers" for public consultation. This intervention is financed through the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027 (PS PAC 2027).

During this stage, the Applicant's Guide for the DR-30 intervention "Support for the installation of young farmers" is open for public debate and can be consulted on the official website of the Agency, www.afir.info, under the Communication >> Public Debate section.

"The consultative version of the Applicant's Guide for young farmer support, published by AFIR, includes the most relevant observations made by AFIR experts at both the central and regional levels.

The Guide has also been analyzed and consolidated following discussions at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. We aim to provide applicants for non-repayable European funds with flexible and clear tools to facilitate access to these funds. For a period of 30 days, we await public observations, which will be analyzed and, if necessary, included in the final version of the Applicant's Guide," stated George CHIRIȚĂ, Director-General of AFIR.

The support provided through this intervention, based on a business plan, is 100% non-repayable, amounting to 70,000 euros per project. The funds are granted in the form of a lump sum in two tranches (75% of the support amount upon signing the financing contract, and 25% of the support amount based on the correct implementation of the business plan, within a period not exceeding three years or five years for the fruit and grape sector, from the signing of the financing contract).

The public consultation period lasts for 30 calendar days from the date of publication on the website, starting from June 7, 2023. All interested parties can submit proposals or observations regarding the documents under discussion to the email address [email protected].
