📢 AFIR to Launch Four Key Rural Investment Funding Lines in Q4 of 2025
The Agency for Financing Rural Investments (AFIR) will launch four major funding lines dedicated to farmers and rural beneficiaries in the fourth quarter of 2025, according to the institution’s General Director, Adrian Chesnoiu, during a televised statement on AGRO TV.
According to official statements, these measures are scheduled to be launched between late September and early October, coinciding with the final implementation stage of the 2014–2020 funding program.
📌 Funding Interventions Set for Launch:
Initially, the DR-23 and DR-16 interventions were set to launch in June. However, according to Chesnoiu, the political crisis and absence of a fully empowered Government led to a postponement of the timeline.
“For DR-23 and DR-16, we required additional time to manage procedural steps. At the same time, a significant portion of institutional resources is currently allocated to finalizing the 2014–2020 program,” said Adrian Chesnoiu, AFIR General Director.
📚 Applicant Guides – Preparation for Potential Beneficiaries
To support applicants in preparing their submissions, AFIR has already published the final versions of the Applicant’s Guide for the DR-23 and DR-16 interventions. Farmers and rural entrepreneurs can now begin preparing their documentation and project plans.
The official opening of the calls for applications will be announced two weeks prior to the actual start date for submissions.
As for DR-12 and DR-14, these are expected to launch shortly after the first two interventions, most likely within a two-week interval.
🔎 Intense Year-End Period for AFIR
“Our objective is to launch these measures by the end of the year and begin the evaluation and selection process for submitted projects, in parallel with closing the previous funding program,” added the AFIR director.
AFIR strongly encourages interested beneficiaries to regularly check the institution’s official website for updates on the exact launch dates of each funding session.
