The Agency for Financing Rural Investments (AFIR) participated, in April, in an Agromarketing course organized within the Faculty of Agri-Food and Environmental Economics at ASE, through the presence of Otilia Chiriță, oenology engineer and AFIR specialist.

The meeting aimed to bring students closer to the practical realities of the agri-food sector, with a focus on promotion tools, market trends, and concrete examples from professional activity. For future specialists, direct contact with experts involved in applied programs and projects represents an important component of professional training.

The discussions addressed the CPAC application – the Catalog of Certified Food Products, a tool developed by MADR and AFIR to promote Romanian producers and certified products. At the same time, the particularities of the wine market, strategies for positioning wine products, and the role of participation in national and international competitions in increasing the visibility of Romanian brands were also explored.

Another important point was applied marketing, through the presentation of project examples and case studies from AFIR’s activity. These provided students with a concrete perspective on how promotion, certification, and financing can support the competitiveness of Romanian agri-food products.

Through such initiatives, AFIR contributes to strengthening the link between the academic and professional environments. The transfer of experience to students represents an investment in the future of agriculture and the agri-food industry in Romania, in a context where marketing skills, market knowledge, and the promotion of certified products are becoming increasingly relevant.
