TexTech, one of the leaders in the Romanian market for work equipment and safety, is a 100% domestically owned company, successfully delivering any order with the highest standards of quality. Mr. Alexandru Stan, the General Manager of the company, spoke to us about the company's activities.
"We have established ourselves ahead of our competitors."
Meat.Milk: Mr. Alexandru Stan, when was TexTech founded, and what are its areas of activity?
Alexandru Stan: TexTech is a manufacturer and distributor of workwear and occupational safety equipment, simultaneously covering multiple business segments, from protective gear to technical-administrative personnel equipment (TESA), promoter equipment, and even advertising materials, aprons, bags, banners, etc.
TexTech was established in 2019 as a subsidiary business of the Sandwich Factory, with the initial goal of providing comprehensive solutions for work equipment and safety to its partners.
In 2020, due to the impact of the Covid pandemic, the Sandwich Factory couldn't continue, and TexTech became the primary business, essentially starting from scratch.
In 2021, TexTech was authorized as a protected unit, which brought an advantage over importers, creating opportunities for rapid development. With over 10 years of experience in the food industry, the company quickly outperformed its competitors by offering optimal solutions to its partners.
Starting in 2023, we opened a distribution division, expanding our product portfolio to include footwear and disposable equipment, gloves, and other items constantly used in the industry.
MM: What were the main stages of development?
AS: The primary stage was finding a production space, as this field relies on manual labor, and no process can be fully automated. So, in 2021, we opened a factory in Roșiorii de Vede, a city known for its skilled textile workers.
Another stage was establishing a product range that would meet our partners' main needs. Finding producers and suppliers was a real challenge. The production of work equipment presents significant challenges.
Since we work exclusively on firm orders placed by clients, the raw material process is quite cumbersome. Moreover, end-to-end manufacturing is different from mass production, where the manufacturing process can be optimized differently.
For example, an order placed with us can include a jacket, a t-shirt, a gown, pants, a blazer, a vest, all within the same order and with different colors and material specifications. Please note, this is just one customer!
Although at first glance, it may seem like a disadvantage, and prices may be higher than importers, TexTech's advantages are numerous. Products are strictly tailored to each customer's model, adhering to all their color, brand, model, material, etc. specifications.
With flexibility, we can easily adapt to changes requested by the client or propose new designs to clients who want to change their equipment model.
Moreover, as a protected unit, this helps in cost efficiency for the client.
Furthermore, our company provides continuous assistance and consultation to our clients, with direct support from those involved in the production process, quickly resolving any issues. Of course, we also offer integrated customization services (embroidery, screen printing, heat transfer, etc.).
A wide range of products
MM: What is TexTech's product range?
AS: Referring to the product range we offer to our clients, I would like to highlight that we have a wide range of products that we can produce in various colors or models, depending on demand:
MM: What are the company's sources of supply?
AS: We source our raw materials from local and international manufacturers or distributors. Here, we encounter various categories of manufacturers, from cotton for t-shirts to canvas used in the usual work equipment of the food and construction industries, to producers of specialized materials with various levels of chemical, antistatic, flame-retardant protection, and more. In this way, we manage to meet all the current market demands.
Quality is the main priority
MM: What criteria are used to choose the materials from which TexTech's equipment is made? How do they meet sustainability requirements?
AS: Quality is our primary focus, as market conditions require us to find solutions, including increasing sustainability. However, I would like to emphasize that we do not have low-cost products in our portfolio, but we offer efficient, high-quality solutions at competitive prices.
MM: What are the main qualities of the equipment for the Food Industry and HoReCa?
AS: Of course, wear resistance, price, compliance with the customer's requirements, and compliance with the HACCP authorizations are essential.
MM: How do these equipment differ from those of competing companies in the market, and what sets TexTech apart as an identity?
AS: The TexTech team is continually evolving, and our main advantage is that we pay close attention to customer feedback. If a problem is reported to us, we start with the assumption that it happened on our end. This has helped us immensely in improving the quality of our products and respecting our customers.
By offering firm deadlines, quickly resolving emergencies, providing alternatives to requested products, assuming any issues, including changing the product or the entire order if it does not meet the mutually agreed requirements, TexTech has earned a proven product quality over time, which has gained the trust of our customers.
A prestigious customer portfolio
MM: What is the customer portfolio, and how large is the market? Can you name some of the most important customers?
AS: As I mentioned earlier, TexTech caters to various industries, such as the Food Industry, HoReCa, Construction Industry, Machinery Manufacturing Industry, Energy Industry, and others. Among our clients, I would like to mention companies like Cris-Tim, Arctic, Fox, Instore Power Provider, Annabella, Carmistin, Group Sphera (Pizza Hut, KFC, Taco Bell), Anchor Grup, Elit, Parmafood, Industrial Montaj, Astra Rail, Engi Romania, etc.
MM: What are the company's future projects?
AS: We have already begun shaping the future through investments in state-of-the-art technologies, which will help us streamline our work processes. Additionally, expanding the production team and the sales force were some of the objectives for this year that we managed to achieve.
In 2024, we will have a new production hall with expanded space, where we can integrate customization services. We plan to invest in embroidery and screen printing equipment, as well as expand our product range.
MM: Thank you, and we wish you continued success!
