The model of veterinary health certificate for the export of sheep intended for slaughter from Romania to Morocco has been approved at the headquarters of the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA).
The signing ceremony of the documents was attended by Dr. Alexandru Bociu, the President of ANSVSA, and Dr. El Abrak Abderrahman, the Director of Animal and Plant Heritage at the National Office of Food Safety in Morocco.
Today's meeting marked the end of the visit made by the Moroccan delegation to Romania from May 9th to May 11th, 2023.
During the three days, other aspects related to sheep export were discussed, such as sanitary procedures, identification and traceability of the sheep livestock in Romania, visits to quarantine farms, and boarding control procedures.
The Moroccan representatives also showed interest in the genetic information systems for sheep and professional organizations in the sheep industry.
This visit represents an important step in the development of trade relations between Romania and Morocco in the sheep sector, providing a new export market for sheep breeders in Romania.
