Tremco Joins Meat.Milk. 2025 as Official Partner, Showcasing Innovative Flooring Solutions

Tremco, a global leader in industrial flooring systems, has joined the Meat.Milk. 2025 International Conference as an official Partner. The event will take place on May 26–27 at Hotel Alpin in Poiana Brașov, Romania.

During the event, Tremco will showcase its products and services at its dedicated booth in the Expo area. Below are highlights of the Polish company’s specialized offerings:

Flowfresh – A New Generation of Antimicrobial Resin Floors for the Food Industry

Flooring is a crucial component in food and beverage production areas. It must be durable and resistant to operational stress, including mechanical, chemical, and thermal loads.

Choosing the right flooring system is vital, as any surface damage can create hard-to-clean areas where dirt can accumulate and bacteria can multiply—threatening product safety and brand reputation.

Flowfresh seamless resin floors are a high-quality solution for the food industry, offering high mechanical, chemical, and thermal resistance, antibacterial properties, and HACCP International certification.

These systems are made from polyurethane resins, selected aggregates, and cements, and incorporate a silver-ion antimicrobial additive proven to inhibit the growth of most harmful bacteria.

Floors That Are Easy to Clean

High hygiene standards remain a strict requirement in the food industry. Flowfresh resin floors are seamless and impermeable, making them easy to wash and keep clean.

Surface joints are minimized to reduce the spaces where dirt and bacteria could accumulate.

Antimicrobial Flooring Solutions

Flowfresh polyurethane concrete floors are designed for areas with strict hygiene requirements. The Polygiene® additive, based on silver-ion technology, reduces the microbial load on floor surfaces by up to 99.9%. Because the additive is uniformly distributed throughout the floor, the antimicrobial protection remains effective even after surface wear.

The antimicrobial performance of Flowfresh systems has been tested in accordance with ISO 22196 and JIS Z 2801. Their high hygienic profile is supported by the HACCP International certificate, confirming compliance with global food industry hygiene standards.

Chemical Resistance to Common Food Industry Substances

Frequent contact with food production substances—such as fats and sugars—can damage floors that aren’t adapted to these conditions. Any surface cracks or defects may harbor dirt and microorganisms.

That’s why it’s crucial to choose Flowfresh systems, which offer high chemical resistance to protect the concrete substrate from food byproducts, fats, hot oils, blood, sugar, and acids.

Thermal Resistance in Extreme Conditions

Depending on the area, floors in food and beverage plants must withstand a wide range of temperatures. Resistance to ambient changes—including hot water or steam cleaning and exposure to cold storage or oven doors—is essential to prevent floor degradation.

Flowfresh polyurethane concrete floors, applied at specific thicknesses, offer excellent thermal resistance. For example, Flowfresh HF, applied at 9 mm thickness, withstands temperatures between -40°C and +120°C.

Mechanical Strength for Heavy-Duty Environments

In large-scale food production facilities, floors must withstand intense mechanical loads, such as goods handling, trolley movement, and foot traffic. Flowfresh systems, made of polyurethane resins, aggregates, and cement, deliver exceptional abrasion resistance, tested according to EN 13892-4.

Eurofins Gold Certification for Indoor Air Quality

VOC emissions from finishing materials directly affect food quality. Flowfresh flooring systems have low VOC emissions, verified through independent testing, and are certified with Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort® Gold—a leading standard for indoor air quality.

Drainage System Integration

Effective wastewater and liquid drainage is essential. Concrete subfloor slopes and Flowfresh resin floors are designed to direct liquids toward collection points.

Connections—such as those with the metal frames of drainage components—are sealed using semi-flexible joint sealants, such as Flowflex, to prevent water leakage.

Coved Skirting for a Hygienic Floor-to-Wall Transition

To maintain high hygiene standards, the transition between the floor and wall must be protected. This junction is prone to dirt accumulation and is difficult to clean. In these areas, coved skirting made from the same material as the floor is used to ensure a seamless and easy-to-clean transition.

Slip-Resistant Properties Adapted to Usage Conditions

Flowfresh antimicrobial resin floors can be customized based on specific usage conditions. For example, in wet production zones, floors must have a slip-resistant surface—Flowfresh systems are available with a textured finish to meet such safety requirements.

Broad Range of Applications in the Food Industry

Flowfresh flooring systems are designed for the food industry, ideal for any setting requiring high hygiene standards combined with mechanical, thermal, and chemical resistance. Typical applications include food processing halls, storage areas, industrial kitchens, cold rooms, and food packaging zones.
