21 Romanian entrepreneurial companies have received the "Best Managed Companies" certification from Deloitte for their managerial performance in 2022. These companies, with a combined turnover of 2.7 billion euros and almost 8,000 employees, have been recognized for their good practices and managerial performance. The certification was awarded at the end of the second edition of the Best Managed Companies Romania program, organized by Deloitte in partnership with Banca Transilvania, the Bucharest Stock Exchange, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The program attracted over a hundred local companies, of which 40 reached the main stage, involving workshops and interviews conducted by mixed teams of experts appointed by Deloitte and partner organizations. This analysis and self-analysis exercise focused on four pillars: strategy, culture and engagement, innovation and resources, and governance and financial aspects.

The companies that received the "Best Managed" certification in this edition include:

• Agricola International (engaged in public catering, established in 1992, with 1,990 employees and a turnover of 155 million euros in 2022),
• Autonom Services (providing mobility services, founded in 2006, with 532 employees and a turnover of 131.2 million euros in 2022),
• BICO Industries (involved in the production of industrial textiles, established in 2006, with 445 employees and a turnover of 27 million euros in 2022),
• Bog'Art (active in construction, founded in 1991, with 428 employees and a turnover of 109.2 million euros in 2022),
• Cemacon (engaged in the production of construction materials, established in 1969, with 330 employees and a turnover of 44.8 million euros in 2022),
• Dicor Land (involved in agriculture, founded in 2011, with 195 employees and a turnover of 25.3 million euros in 2022),
• Eturia (active in tourism, founded in 2006, with 68 employees and a turnover of 21.3 million euros in 2022),
• IB Cargo (engaged in commercial transport, founded in 2008, with 140 employees and a turnover of 82 million euros in 2022),
• Impact Developer & Contractor (active in real estate, founded in 1991, with 56 employees and a turnover of 44.1 million euros in 2022),
• One United Properties (active in real estate, founded in 2007, with 112 employees and a turnover of 236.5 million euros in 2022),
• OSCAR Downstream (active in the oil and gas sector, founded in 2001, with 490 employees and a turnover of 1.44 billion euros in 2022),
• Phylosophy Design - Rovere (engaged in interior design, founded in 2005, with 180 employees and a turnover of 26.5 million euros in 2022),
• RTC Proffice Experience (involved in the distribution of office objects and equipment, founded in 1994, with 180 employees and a turnover of 36 million euros in 2022),
• Safeway International Impex (active in the trade of food and non-food products, founded in 1994, with 144 employees and a turnover of 31.7 million euros in 2022),
• Secom Healthcare (engaged in the sale of premium dietary supplements, founded in 1991, with 209 employees and a turnover of 35.1 million euros in 2022),
• Simtel Team (active in telecommunications, founded in 2010, with 120 employees and a turnover of 27.7 million euros in 2022), and
• TeraPlast (engaged in polymer processing, founded in 1896, with 950 employees and a turnover of 144 million euros in 2022).

Special recognition, offered in a separate category, was given to companies that participated and received the "Best Managed" certification for the second consecutive year, namely Celco, Lidas, R.D.F., and Romstyl Impex.

The initial selection of participants in the second edition of the Best Managed Companies Romania program was based on registration forms, taking into account eligibility criteria, including a turnover of at least 20 million euros in 2022. In the main stage, 160 representatives of the management teams of the 40 admitted companies, along with 64 facilitators from Deloitte, Banca Transilvania, the Bucharest Stock Exchange, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, conducted over 700 hours of workshops and interviews.

At the end of this stage, the independent jury, including Radu Hanga, President of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, Cristian Popa, Member of the Board of the National Bank of Romania, Cristian Nacu, Senior Country Officer at the International Finance Corporation, and Prof. Dr. Dorel Paraschiv, Prorector of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, analyzed the workshop and interview conclusions and decided which companies' organizational and management practices were best aligned with the international Best Managed Companies standard.

The Best Managed Companies program is one of Deloitte's longest-running international programs, conducted annually since 1993 in over 45 countries on all continents. It analyzes, using its proprietary methodology based on international best practices, how businesses are organized and managed. The first edition in Romania took place in 2022.
