Government Approves State Aid Scheme for the Livestock Sector in 2025

During the Government Meeting, the decision to approve the allocated amount for the state aid scheme in the livestock sector for the year 2025 was adopted.

The aid is provided in the form of subsidized services to micro-enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, individual and family businesses, authorized individuals, individuals holding a producer certificate, as applicable, as well as legal entities engaged in the production of agricultural products.

**"Supporting farmers is our constant priority. Through this state aid scheme, we ensure that the livestock sector benefits from the necessary resources to maintain its competitiveness and meet market demands.

The allocated funds will contribute to the stability and development of Romanian farms, offering predictability and support to those who produce food for the population,"** stated Minister of Agriculture Florin-Ionuț Barbu.

This normative act establishes the total value of the state aid scheme for 2025, with a maximum of 210,000,000 lei in commitment appropriations, of which:

  • 69,441,000 lei for cattle, buffalo, swine, and equine species, and
  • 140,559,000 lei for sheep and goat species.

Additionally, 237,500,000 lei in budgetary appropriations have been allocated, of which:

  • 78,375,000 lei for cattle, buffalo, swine, and equine species, and
  • 159,125,000 lei for sheep and goat species.

The funds will be provided from the state budget, within the budgetary provisions approved for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for the year 2025.
