Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan Meets with Major Agricultural Producers and Processors to Support Romanian Products
On Wednesday, at the Victoria Palace, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan met with representatives of major agricultural producers and processors to identify ways in which the Government can support the development of production capacities and the promotion of Romanian products on both domestic and international markets.
“I want to hear directly from producers and processors in the food sector about the challenges they face and to jointly identify public policies that the Government can promote in order to increase and diversify production capacity,” said Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.
At the beginning of the discussions, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to those contributing to the national economy:
“I thank you for what you do for the Romanian economy — for creating jobs and paying your taxes! We aim to develop policies that enhance competitiveness and support Romanian products for export.”
The Head of Government also mentioned that a similar meeting was recently held with representatives of the Association of Large Retail Chains in Romania, who expressed their willingness to help promote local producers on foreign markets.
Industry representatives appreciated Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan’s openness to dialogue and expressed their desire to continue consultations in order to identify effective government solutions aimed at stimulating investment, production, and the presence of Romanian products in retail networks both in the country and abroad.
Also attending the meeting at Victoria Palace were Mihai Jurca, Head of the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, and Raul Gutin, State Counselor.
