INS: Turnover from wholesale trade

In February 2024, the turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles) increased compared to January 2024, both in gross series by 12.1% and in seasonally adjusted series by 0.2%.

Compared to February 2023, the turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles) in February 2024 increased, both in gross series, by 4.8%, and in seasonally adjusted series by 3.6%.

In the period from January 1 to February 29, 2024, the turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles) increased compared to the period from January 1 to February 28, 2023, both in gross series and in seasonally adjusted series by 3.2% and 2.9%, respectively.

February 2024 compared to January 2024

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), in gross series, in February 2024 compared to the previous month, increased overall by 12.1%, due to the growth in turnover in specialized wholesale trade of other products (+32.8%), wholesale trade of information and telecommunications equipment (+20.1%), wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+19.6%), wholesale trade of agricultural raw materials and live animals (+19.4%), non-specialized wholesale trade (+7.4%), wholesale trade of consumer goods other than food (+2.7%), and wholesale trade of food, beverages, and tobacco (+0.7%). Wholesale trade intermediary activities decreased by 1.7%.

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), seasonally adjusted series, in February 2024 compared to the previous month, increased overall by 0.2%.

February 2024 compared to February 2023

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), in gross series, in February 2024 compared to February 2023, increased overall by 4.8%, due to the growth in turnover in specialized wholesale trade of other products (+20.3%), wholesale trade of agricultural raw materials and live animals (+17.9%), wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+17.6%), non-specialized wholesale trade (+14.3%), and wholesale trade of information and telecommunications equipment (+1.2%).

Decreases were recorded in:

wholesale trade intermediary activities (-12.7%), wholesale trade of consumer goods other than food (-6.7%), and wholesale trade of food, beverages, and tobacco (-5.5%).
