The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles), as the raw series, in April 2023, compared to the previous month, decreased by 17.7% in nominal terms overall, due to the decrease in turnover in specialized wholesale trade of other products (-29.4%), wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (-19.3%), non-specialized wholesale trade (-18.0%), wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (-17.1%), wholesale trade of information and communication equipment (-14.9%), wholesale trade of food, beverages, and tobacco (-13.1%), wholesale trade of non-food consumer goods (-11.0%), and wholesale intermediary trade (-5.3%).

Increases were recorded in wholesale intermediary trade (+26.8%), wholesale trade of information and communication equipment (+9.2%), wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+8.0%), wholesale trade of non-food consumer goods (+7.2%), and wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (+2.1%).

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles), as adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, in April 2023, compared to April 2022, increased by 4.8% in nominal terms overall.

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles), as the raw series, during the period of January 1st to April 30th, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, recorded an increase of 4.7% in nominal terms overall, due to the increase in wholesale intermediary trade (+26.6%), wholesale trade of information and communication equipment (+17.6%), wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+14.9%), wholesale trade of non-food consumer goods (+9.7%), wholesale trade of food, beverages, and tobacco (+8.2%), and non-specialized wholesale trade (+2.1%).

Decreases were recorded in specialized wholesale trade of other products (-6.2%) and wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (-1.5%).

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles), as adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, during the period of January 1st to April 30th, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, increased by 7.9% in nominal terms overall.
