In May 2023, the quantity of cow's milk collected from farms and collection centers by processing units increased by 16.7% compared to April 2023 and by 12.7% compared to May 2022.

The amount of cow's milk collected from farms and collection centers by processing units increased by 13.2% during the period from January 1 to May 31, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022.

May 2023 compared to April 2023:

  • The quantity of cow's milk collected by processing units increased by 16.7% compared to the previous month.
  • The production of cultured milk products (yogurt, drinkable yogurt, buttermilk, and similar dairy products) had the highest increase (+29.5%).
  • The quantity of raw milk imported by processing units decreased by 1.9% in May 2023 compared to the previous month.

May 2023 compared to May 2022:

  • In May 2023, the quantity of cow's milk collected by processing units increased by 12.7% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.
  • The highest increase in production was observed for butter (+29.2%).
  • The production of cultured milk products (yogurt, drinkable yogurt, buttermilk, and similar dairy products) decreased by 5.5%.
  • The quantity of raw milk imported by processing units decreased by 35.7% in May 2023 compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.

Period from January 1 to May 31, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022:

  • During this period, the quantity of cow's milk collected by processing units increased by 13.2%.
  • The highest production increase was recorded for cheese (+1.6%).
  • The production of cultured milk products (yogurt, drinkable yogurt, buttermilk, and similar dairy products) had the highest decrease (-9.4%).
  • The quantity of raw milk imported by processing units decreased by 38.3% during this period compared to the same period in 2022.
