INS: In 2023, the balance deficit in Romania's food trade was 8.9 billion euros

In December 2023, FOB exports totaled 6,144.3 billion euros, while CIF imports totaled 9,573.5 billion euros, resulting in a deficit of 3,429.2 billion euros.

Compared to December 2022, exports in December 2023 decreased by 8.3%, while imports decreased by 2.2%.

In the year 2023, FOB exports amounted to 93,098.1 billion euros, and CIF imports amounted to 122,045.2 billion euros.

In 2023, exports increased by 1.3%, while imports decreased by 3.2% compared to 2022. The trade balance deficit (FOB/CIF) in 2023 was 28,947.1 billion euros, which is lower by 5,142.4 billion euros (-15.1%) than that recorded in 2022.
