According to the INS (National Institute of Statistics), in November 2023, the quantity of cow's milk collected from farms and collection centers by processing units decreased by 7.5% compared to October 2023 and by 4.8% compared to November 2022.

The quantity of cow's milk collected from farms and collection centers by processing units increased by 6.7% from January 1 to November 30, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022.

November 2023 compared to October 2023

In November 2023 compared to the previous month, the quantity of cow's milk collected by processing units decreased by 7.5%. The largest decrease in production was recorded in cheese (-5.6%), while the largest increase was recorded in butter (+15.3%).

The quantity of raw milk imported by processing units increased in November 2023 compared to the previous month by 9.9%.

November 2023 compared to November 2022

Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, in November 2023, the quantity of cow's milk collected by processing units decreased by 4.8%.

Cheese production decreased by 2.0%. The largest increase in production was recorded in butter (+19.4%).

The quantity of raw milk imported by processing units increased in November 2023 by 14.4% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.

Period January 1 - November 30, 2023 compared to January 1 - November 30, 2022

From January 1 to November 30, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, the quantity of cow's milk collected by processing units increased by 6.7%.

Butter production recorded the highest increase (+1.9%), while the production of fermented milk (yogurt, drinking yogurt, buttermilk, and similar dairy products) had the largest decrease (-4.9%).

The quantity of raw milk imported by processing units decreased by 24.0% from January 1 to November 30, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022.
