Kaufland is opening a store in the town of Vișeu de Sus, Maramureș County, thus reaching a total of 174 stores nationwide.

The new hypermarket is located at 49 Eroilor Alley and will generate 70 new jobs, supporting the local economy. It is built on a total area of 5,250 square meters, with over 3,000 square meters allocated for retail space.

Kaufland Vișeu de Sus will open its doors to the public on Thursday, February 15th. The operating hours will be from 07:00 to 22:00, Monday to Saturday, and from 08:00 to 20:00 on Sundays.

The new Kaufland hypermarket offers a variety of products for all tastes and features an extensive section of fruits and vegetables, an assisted service counter - spanning 17 meters, a bakery, frozen products, staple foods, sweets, groceries, beverages, and non-food products. Additionally, at the Grill station outside, customers can find a wide range of tasty and ready-to-eat dishes: roasted chicken, chicken drumsticks, and specialties such as crispy and nuggets, as well as sausages, pork neck, kabobs, Thuringian sausages, or french fries.

The hypermarket has 14 cash registers, including 8 self-service express checkouts and 6 standard ones, to ensure a fast flow of customers and streamline shopping. Furthermore, customers can use the K-Scan service to scan products as they add them to their cart, completing the payment at the checkout.

The parking lot has a total capacity of 228 spaces, including 8 for disabled persons and 7 for parents. Additionally, customers have access to 3 spaces with charging stations for electric cars and bicycle racks.

The shopping gallery provides access to a variety of stores and services, including the Mignon pastry shop, where customers can find confectionery products, pastries, cooked food, hot and cold drinks, an Inmedio store, a Dr. Max pharmacy, an Euronet Services ATM, and two parcel pick-up spaces (lockers), Easybox and Fanbox.

In line with the company's commitment to environmental protection, Kaufland customers are encouraged to recycle using the selective collection systems in the new store:

• Inside the store, customers will find a self-service recycling machine where they can recycle packaging in exchange for extra discount vouchers. They can bring plastic, glass, and metal packaging (up to 3 liters), with a 0.50 RON deposit being refunded only for packages with the "Guaranteed Packaging" symbol printed on the label.

• At the entrance area, in the specially arranged space resembling a tortoise, customers can deposit personal care or cleaning product packaging for recycling and will be rewarded on the spot with 35% discount vouchers for purchasing other new products from the monthly offer.

Customers can deposit empty plastic bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body or face cream, hand cream, mouthwash, or liquid soap, as well as empty containers of cleaning products such as laundry or dishwashing detergents, kitchen, bathroom, floor, or window cleaning solutions. Vouchers can be collected from the Information Desk in the store.
