Kaufland Romania awarded 27,000 prizes in 1000 schools

Kaufland Romania announces the final results of the "The Future Starts Now" campaign, a project aimed at improving educational infrastructure by modernizing and technologizing classrooms in Romania.

Throughout the campaign, over 1000 schools registered on the viitorulincepeacum.ro platform to benefit from the support offered, collecting points through shopping receipts from Kaufland stores.

The collective effort of teachers, parents, and students allowed educational institutions to purchase over 27,000 essential products and equipment for the educational process, such as computers, monitors, furniture pieces, laboratory sets, and sports articles.

"We conclude the 'The Future Starts Now' campaign proud of the results achieved and the progress made in modernizing schools in Romania. We thank all those who contributed to this success and who have shown that, together, we can make a difference," said Valer Hancaș, Director of Communication and Corporate Affairs, Kaufland Romania.

Initially launched in October 2023, the "The Future Starts Now" campaign is part of a broader effort by Kaufland Romania to invest in educational projects, demonstrating the company's commitment to increasing access to quality education.

Among the schools that collected the most points are schools from the towns of Giurgiu, Bistrița, Craiova, and Târgoviște.

In 2023, Kaufland allocated over 1.07 million euros to support education, emphasizing the importance it places on the education of future generations.

Kaufland is one of the largest retail companies in Europe, with over 1,500 stores in 8 countries, 155,000 employees, and a network of 177 stores in Romania. In 2023, Kaufland Romania received the Best Buy Award certification for the fifth time, attesting that it is the chain of stores with the best quality-price ratio on the local market.

Kaufland also holds the Customers' Friend distinction for the company with the best customer service, awarded by the international Institute ICERTIAS, following a market analysis.
