General Assembly of the Romanian Pig Meat Producers Association (APCPR) Held in Bucharest

The General Assembly of the Romanian Pig Meat Producers Association (APCPR) took place in Bucharest, bringing together pig farmers, specialists, input and technology suppliers, and officials in the ASAS Hall.

As in previous years, despite being invited, Minister of Agriculture Florin Barbu was absent from the event.

Key Discussions & Leadership Election

During the meeting, the association's activities and achievements were reviewed, an analysis of the sector's recent evolution was conducted, and future strategic directions were outlined.

A key agenda item was the election of a new president, following the resignation of Mr. Ioan Ladoși.

After the vote count, Dr. Adrian Balaban, a veterinary medicine specialist, President of the Association of Swine Veterinary Practitioners, and President of Siliștea Pig Production Cooperative, was elected as the new APCPR President.

Conference: “Romanian Pig Farming – Present and Future”

Following the General Assembly, APCPR organized a conference titled “Romanian Pig Farming – Present and Future”.

The event was attended by numerous pig farmers, specialists, and suppliers of nutritional solutions and technologies.
