The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, through the National Rural Development Network (RNDR), organized the conference "Horizons of the Strategic Plan 2023-2027."

The event was chaired by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Florin-Ionuț Barbu, along with the Director-General of the General Directorate for Rural Development - Managing Authority for the National Rural Development Program (PNDR), Elena-Daniela Rebega, the Director-General of the Agency for Rural Investment Financing (AFIR), George Chiriță, and the Director-General of the Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA), Cornel Constantin Turcescu.

In the opening of the conference organized by RNDR, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Florin-Ionuț Barbu, mentioned that the financial allocation for the first project submission sessions under the Strategic Plan PAC 2023-2027 amounts to approximately 2.2 billion euros.

"The launch of the first interventions from the Strategic Plan is a long-awaited moment for many farmers, and we will open several project submission sessions, on different interventions, in November. The funds allocated to these sessions total almost 2.2 billion euros.

Beyond these funds intended for smaller producers, the Romanian Government will finance the Investalim program, which has a budget of 600 million euros, intended for larger processors.

The budget allocated to this program will be supplemented to 1.2 billion euros, so that the raw material produced in Romania is processed in our country, thus reducing imports of processed products and obtaining added value.

At the same time, to support the investment projects of Romanian producers, the Ministry of Agriculture has initiated the necessary procedures to legislate a financing mechanism.

Thus, they will benefit from working capital loans with an interest rate of 1.95%, and the costs related to ROBOR and commissions will be covered from the MADR budget.

Through this support mechanism, the Romanian Government makes approximately 4.5 billion lei available to farmers. All these measures show that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is a loyal partner to Romanian producers," said the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Florin-Ionuț Barbu, at the "Horizons of the Strategic Plan 2023-2027" conference organized by RNDR.

Furthermore, Elena-Daniela Rebega, the Director-General of DGDR - AM PNDR, presented the main novelties regarding the interventions included in the PAC Strategic Plan, as well as the schedule for launching the project submission sessions.

The event brought together numerous farmers, along with representatives of associations and non-governmental organizations with agricultural profiles.
