Local producers in Romania, united under the Via Profi platform, become central figures in the Treasure Games in Banat trials, the first reality show carried out on social media, created under the Cronicari Digitali platform.

Throughout this week, eight contestants have accepted the challenge of Treasure Games in Banat to explore in a unique way the special places, as well as the history and culture of Banat. Through their personal social media accounts and the official accounts of the competition, anyone can follow the competition and discover new things about Banat and places to visit.

From the first three days, local producers present on the "Via Profi" online platform entered the competition. This project brings together under this name the good Romanian tastes.

"Via Profi is the imaginary road that connects the urban with the rural and opens Romania to authentic taste. It is natural for Via Profi to be part of Treasure Games in Banat, a reality show that wants to make known all the beautiful and special things that Banat has.

We are delighted to be partners in a project that encourages Romanians to look at the best and most beautiful things they have and helps them embark on a different exploration of the country," says Gabriela Sîrbu, the sustainability director of the retail network and the coordinator of the Via Profi project.

On Monday, the contestants discovered the organic farm in the village of Sintești, Timiș County. At the home of Marieta and Ovidiu Ionași, producers of organic food listed on the Via Profi website, they learned how to pick tomatoes; in the "Bees' Paradise," they had to prepare a beehive frame after following ad-hoc lessons, and at the end of the visit, they tried to identify as many varieties of honey as possible.

To make the adventure more diverse, in line with the generous offerings on Via Profi, the contestants of Treasure Games in Banat had to quickly catch a fish from the pond using the tools provided by Ovidiu Ionași. As fun as the challenge turned out to be, it was equally complex, and to the delight of those who visit Via-Profi.ro to discover good tastes, they can identify the listed producers and their delicious and healthy products with just a few clicks, without any other effort.

Breakfast in Margina made the commune famous throughout the country. Behind the delicious dishes is Emilia Popa, who combines her Slovakian influences with those of Banat in the kitchen and uses ingredients and products from her own household. She is also listed on the Via Profi platform.

The experience she offers is unique and not coincidentally praised by everyone who discovers it. For the contestants of Treasure Games in Banat, the challenge was even more complicated, as everyone who hears Mrs. Popa's name expects only the best.

In two hours, the contestants had to prepare a complete menu for the table where members of the local community were invited. Among other things, they cooked with ingredients picked directly from the garden, made fresh bread, and had to reproduce the local recipe for curd cheese coagulated with vinegar.

They showed how they coped in stories and posts on Instagram and Facebook, but it will be even better seen in the Treasure Games video series premiering on YouTube this fall.

On Wednesday, two of the competition trials took place at two other local producers united under the platform developed by Profi.

"How It's Made," in the Via Profi version, took place at Alin Neamțu's farm, the largest breeder of Mangalitsa pigs in Timiș. He owns a farm with 600 heads in Ficătari and earned his doctorate in Timișoara with the theme of breeding the native Mangalitsa breed.

He raises the piglets and then sells them in his own store in Recaș, where he sells meat and meat products online throughout Banat, as well as in Bucharest or Germany. You can easily find him on the Via Profi website, where the contestants also identified his address to pay him a visit and experience how artisanal cold cuts are made with great care.

In the afternoon, the participants also visited the most modern trout farm in Timiș, carefully built by Alina and Marian Ardelean. The visit brought the participants of the only reality show on social media a difficult mission: to catch trout from one of the six outdoor basins, clean them, and learn how to prepare them as best as possible!

For the contestants, the show goes on, just as Via Profi continues to gather new producers from as many areas of the country as possible to explore the good taste of Romania.

The entire Treasure Games adventure in Banat can be watched in real-time on the social media accounts of the participants, and the final result of the competition will be revealed in the video series to be launched on the Treasure Games YouTube channel this autumn.

The production team will capture behind-the-scenes moments and distribute them on the social media accounts of Treasure Games and Cronicari Digitali. More than 168 hours of filming will later be transformed into episodes that will tell the story of the competition on YouTube.

The selected participants for Treasure Games in Banat, who bring the entire adventure to social media through their communities, are Marius Chivu, Emilia Morariu, Alina Muntele, Ciprian Muntele, Silviu Barbul, Adrian Dan, Bogdan Buzuleac, and Răzvan Moței. The Treasure Games in Banat show is presented by Toader Păun, who also provides behind-the-scenes details through live online journals, TV, and radio.

Profi supports the discovery and protection of architectural heritage.

One of the special moments of the Treasure Games in Banat adventure will be the meeting of the contestants with the participants of another large-scale project developed by Cronicari Digitali. Timișoara becomes the place where, on July 15, the most content creators will meet to bring architectural and cultural heritage to the forefront on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, the press, and the blogosphere.

Timișoara, with its over 14,000 historical buildings, will be promoted through original content, in images and stories about architectural heritage, with the help of journalists and content creators.

Throughout the day, the participants will follow a guided route through Timișoara and the localities in Timiș County, providing online visibility to architectural landmarks. Over 140 content creators are expected to participate in the Heritage Instameet "Meet me in Timișoara!"

In the end, everyone will gather in Iulius Gardens Park (Family Plaza) in Iulius Town Timișoara for a Heritage Cocktail Party, where they will have the opportunity to meet the local and regional authorities and cultural representatives.

The participants of Treasure Games in Banat will thus have a moment of relaxation before the grand finale and to find out who wins the second edition of Romania's first reality show on social media.

During the event, Profi, a retailer with Romanian roots that operates exclusively in Romania, will offer prizes in the form of a voucher worth 4,000 lei for a vacation at Casa Ardeleană (the fishery from Via Profi), as well as shopping vouchers in Profi stores. The participants of the Heritage Instameet "Meet me in Timișoara!" who best captured the architectural heritage throughout the day will receive vouchers that will make others crave to discover and, above all, protect it.

With 28,000 employees in its network of 1,654 own stores and Partner stores present in almost 800 urban and rural localities, Profi is the largest private employer in Romania. PROFI SUPER, PROFI CITY, PROFI GO, and PROFI LOCO, the four store formats of the network, offer a range of 5,000 products appreciated by over 1.2 million customers who shop in these stores every day.

Over 94% of the network's products come from Romanian suppliers. Its turnover of 11.7 billion lei places the company third in the Romanian retail market.
