The Association for the Promotion of Romanian Food – APAR announces the participation of its member companies at ANUGA 2025, the world’s largest trade fair dedicated to the food and beverage industry, held in Cologne, Germany, between October 4–8, 2025.
Celebrating its 101st edition, ANUGA 2025 is the most extensive exhibition in the history of the event, bringing together:
ANUGA covers all segments of the food industry – from meat, dairy, and fine food, to bakery, organic products, and food innovations – serving as the main meeting point for producers, retailers, and distributors worldwide.
Romania among the top 20 participating countries
Romania ranks among the top 20 participating countries, both in terms of the number of companies and exhibition space, confirming the potential and competitiveness of the Romanian agri-food industry.
This year, Romania is represented by 114 exhibitors, of which 86 are part of the national pavilion organized and financed by the Romanian Government through the Romanian Agency for Investments and Foreign Trade (ARICE), with Romalimenta Federation as co-organizer, in partnership with APAR – the Association for the Promotion of Romanian Food, a member of the National Federation PRO AGRO and a founding member of the Employers’ Confederation CAIR.
Romania’s Pavilion is present in four thematic halls:
A significant part of these exhibitors are APAR members, representing Romania through quality, authenticity, and innovation, under the national brand DOR – De Origine România (Of Romanian Origin).
The brand DOR – De Origine România
At ANUGA 2025, APAR members actively promote the DOR – De Origine România brand, a national initiative dedicated to supporting Romanian food products with clear traceability, certified quality, and added value.
The DOR brand reflects the essence of authentic Romanian taste and the defining values of the local industry – tradition, sustainability, respect for nature, and passion for quality.
Under this common identity, Romanian producers strengthen their presence in international markets and contribute to Romania’s recognition as a source of premium food products.
Official visit by the Romanian Ambassador to Germany
On the first day of the fair, Her Excellency Adriana Stănescu, Ambassador of Romania to the Federal Republic of Germany, visited all Romanian exhibitors present at ANUGA 2025.
The Ambassador congratulated the participants for their professionalism and their contribution to strengthening Romania’s image through quality products competitive at international level.
“The presence of Romanian companies at ANUGA demonstrates the potential and competitiveness of the Romanian food sector. The DOR – De Origine România brand deserves to be associated with excellence, innovation, and reliability – values I have found among the Romanian exhibitors.” — H.E. Adriana Stănescu, Ambassador of Romania to the Federal Republic of Germany
APAR Statement
“The participation of APAR members at the largest ANUGA edition in history shows that Romania has a mature and ambitious food industry. Through the DOR – De Origine România brand, we promote our common identity based on quality, authenticity, and respect for consumers. Participation in international contracting fairs such as ANUGA directly contributes to balancing Romania’s trade deficit in the agri-food sector by increasing exports of high-value products and consolidating the presence of Romanian brands on international markets. It is essential that this state-budget financing continues, as the current governing coalition has already included in its program, in order to consistently support the internationalization of Romanian companies.” — Decebal Ștefăniță Pădure, President of the Association for the Promotion of Romanian Food (APAR)
