Minister Petre DAEA received at the MADR headquarters, a government delegation from the Kingdom of Morocco, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco in Bucharest, HE Hassan Abouyoub. The delegation includes representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Waters and Forests and the health authority of Morocco.
The meeting at the MADR headquarters materialized as a result of the discussion held last week by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Petre DAEA, in videoconference format with his counterpart from the Kingdom of Morocco, Mohamed SADIKI.
"Having a history of well-defined diplomatic relations, with the desire to knot the thread of interest for the two countries, I am glad that we have the opportunity to carry out this exchange of views on establishing the technical way of the road that we must travel together", he declared Minister Petre DAEA.
Given the increased interest shown by the Kingdom of Morocco for the sheep market in Romania, the following topics were touched upon during today's discussions: - the signing of the health certificate model for the export to Morocco of sheep destined for slaughter from Romania; - sanitary procedures for the export of sheep to Morocco and sanitary certification bodies in Romania; - visiting quarantine farms for sheep intended for export.
