ANPC (National Authority for Consumer Protection) has carried out a series of control actions as part of the Summer Command Center 2023 activities in the following areas: the Black Sea coast, Bucovina, Maramureș, Valea Prahovei, and the Brașov area, in order to verify compliance with legal provisions in the public catering establishments in these regions.
During this period, teams from the County Inspectorates for Consumer Protection (CJPC) in Bihor, Ialomița, Dolj, Bacău, Vrancea, Ilfov, Sibiu, and Hunedoara, which were part of the specially established structure, the Litoral 2023 Command Center, under the coordination of ANPC President Horia Constantinescu and Vice President Mihai Culeafă, have inspected 101 economic operators operating in the resorts along the Black Sea coast, as well as those within the area where festivals are organized.
As a result of the identified irregularities, the following sanctions have been imposed:
"The beginning of a vacation season should not be compared to the rebirth of the Phoenix bird, even though some locations appear as if after bombings, not fires! THERE ARE SPECTACULAR LOCATIONS ON THE COAST! Major investments, perfectly managed! It's sad that there is no determination to rebuild the entire coast from the ground up and bring it to a top level. The shack business seems to be stronger! We continue the fight, and at some point, I hope it will be understood that we want what is best for tourism and tourists!" - Horia Constantinescu, ANPC President.
