The President of the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA), Alexandru Nicolae Bociu, was part of the delegation led by Secretary of State Adrian Pintea from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which conducted a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.
Throughout the visit, the Romanian delegation was accompanied by the Ambassador of Romania in Rabat, Her Excellency Maria Ciobanu.
Scheduled to take place from October 23 to 24, the visit began with a meeting with the Moroccan Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, Water, and Forests, Mohamed Sadiki. During this meeting, the two parties discussed the identification of new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, veterinary health, and food safety.
On the second day of the working visit, the President of ANSVSA, Alexandru Nicolae Bociu, met with Abdelaziz El Hraiki, the Director of the Agronomic and Veterinary Institute in Rabat, and Abdellah Jenati, the General Director of the National Office for the Sanitary Safety of Food Products.
One of the topics discussed during these meetings was the diversification of the existing export of sheep, through opening up the export of cattle and sheep carcasses. Additionally, they discussed the planning of a future visit by representatives of veterinary and food safety authorities from the Kingdom of Morocco to our country to detail the ways to expand collaboration.
