At the Initiative of ANSVSA President Dr. Alexandru Bociu, a Nationwide Food Safety Inspection Campaign Is Underway in Romania
A large-scale official inspection campaign is being conducted across Romania under the leadership of Dr. Alexandru Bociu, President of the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA). The campaign focuses on food safety, hygiene, and traceability, with the aim of protecting public health and strengthening consumer confidence in the food products sold nationwide.
Preventing Foodborne Illnesses and Fraud
This nationwide initiative aims to prevent foodborne illnesses, food fraud, and product substitution that could endanger consumer health. It also seeks to boost public trust in the safety of food products marketed in Romania.
To ensure the rigor and effectiveness of inspections, a temporary working group has been established, coordinated by the ANSVSA President. This group includes the executive directors of the Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Directorates from the counties of Olt, Dâmbovița, Teleorman, Ialomița, and the municipality of Bucharest, along with specialist inspectors from these institutions.
