Danone Romania appoints Oana Bejan as Country Topline Unit Leader

Danone Romania has recently announced that Oana Bejan will assume the role of Country Topline Unit Leader for the company, marking a new milestone in her over 18-year career in FMCG. Previously, Oana Bejan served as Head of Retail & Sales Force at Danone Romania, where she led the sales team and managed relationships with modern retail customers. She brought added value through cross-functional projects aimed at increasing sales and differentiating the company in a dynamic market.

In her new role as Country Topline Unit Leader, Oana Bejan will oversee the commercial operations of Danone Romania. Her extensive experience in both retail and production within FMCG will be essential in maintaining and strengthening Danone's leadership position in the local market.

Oana Bejan began her career at Danone Romania in 2013 and has held various leadership positions in the sales department, contributing to the company's development and its leadership position in yogurt and plant-based product segments. She has also made significant contributions to innovation initiatives and market adaptation, including addressing challenges posed by inflation and changes in consumer behavior in recent years.

Danone Romania underscores a strong commitment to health and well-being, focusing on products that support a healthy lifestyle and implementing sustainable practices. The company's commitment to excellence is reflected in the careful selection of ingredients, ensuring that every Danone product meets the highest international standards of quality and food safety.

This year, Danone Romania celebrates 25 years of local production. The company's journey has been defined by constant investments, continuous innovation, and a focus on product quality, consistently supporting the communities in which it operates. The Bucharest factory, which has become Danone's most efficient factory in Europe, uses 100% Romanian milk from local farmers and ensures dairy products for Romania and 14 other European countries.

At the end of last year, Danone Romania obtained B Corp certification within the regional group of Central and Eastern Europe, which includes Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Danone Romania thus joins the social movement for sustainability, bringing together over 6,000 companies across more than 80 countries and 150 industries that meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
