From October 25 to 29, ROMEXPO, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, organized INDAGRA & INDAGRA FOOD 2023 – a dynamic reference platform that served as a true business hub. Over 36,000 specialist visitors and the general public participated in the digital revolution in agriculture and the food industry.
Within the most important agricultural and food networking event in Romania, 550 companies showcased their state-of-the-art technologies and innovative projects on an exhibition area of over 30,000 square meters.
The INDAGRA & INDAGRA FOOD 2023 concept achieved a 38% level of internationalization, with companies from 23 countries participating, including Belgium, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, China, South Korea, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, the United Kingdom, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, the United States, Turkey, Ukraine, and Hungary.
The highlights of this year's edition included drones used for identifying crop stress areas, topography, phytosanitary operations, or even seeding; smart guidance technologies that allow farmers to apply agricultural inputs only in targeted areas; robots for farm cleaning; agrivoltaic systems; intelligent drip irrigation solutions, as well as equipment and technologies that accelerate the digital transformation of the food industry.
The specialist audience at INDAGRA & INDAGRA FOOD 2023 included entrepreneurs, farmers, agricultural engineers, agricultural product producers and importers, students from agricultural and agri-food faculties, representatives of public institutions, equipment and technology manufacturers, distributors, and importers for the meat industry, as well as representatives from the bakery, vegetable and fruit processing, fish, and dairy industries.
Attractions for the general public included beautiful animals and a zone featuring traditional Romanian dishes.
In addition to the exhibition, the INDAGRA & INDAGRA FOOD 2023 concept offered participants a program of related activities. These included the US TRADE TALKS FORUM, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and the U.S. Embassy in Romania, the conference "Horizons of the Strategic Plan 2023-2027," organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the conference "Agricultural Cooperatives on the Threshold of a New Financial Exercise," organized by the Civitas Foundation for Civil Society, thematic conferences by the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, and the Technical-Scientific Symposium organized by the General Association of Refrigeration Engineers in Romania.
