August 2023 compared to July 2023:

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles) in August 2023, compared to the previous month, increased in nominal terms by 3.6% overall. This growth was due to an increase in the turnover in specialized wholesale trade of other products (+8.9%), wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco (+8.2%), wholesale trade of non-food consumer goods (+4.4%), wholesale trade of information and communication equipment (+4.0%), unspecialized wholesale trade (+3.4%), and wholesale trade intermediation activities (+0.5%).

Decreases were observed in wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (-6.7%) and wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (-5.1%).

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, in August 2023 compared to the previous month increased in nominal terms by 0.9%.

August 2023 compared to August 2022:

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles) in August 2023, compared to August 2022, decreased overall by 0.7% in nominal terms. This was due to a decrease in turnover in wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (-10.6%) and specialized wholesale trade of other products (-10.3%).

Increases were recorded in wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+11.0%), wholesale trade of non-food consumer goods (+10.9%), unspecialized wholesale trade (+5.3%), wholesale trade intermediation activities (+4.4%), wholesale trade of information and communication equipment (+3.6%), and wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco (+0.3%).

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, in August 2023 compared to August 2022, decreased overall by 0.7%.

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles) in the period from January 1st to August 31st, 2023, compared to the period from January 1st to August 31st, 2022, recorded an overall increase of 2.7% in nominal terms, driven by the growth in wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+15.4%), wholesale trade intermediation activities (+14.5%), wholesale trade of information and communication equipment (+12.7%), wholesale trade of non-food consumer goods (+10.6%), wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco (+4.5%), and unspecialized wholesale trade (+2.8%).

Decreases were observed in specialized wholesale trade of other products (-7.7%) and wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (-4.5%).

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, in the period from January 1st to August 31st, 2023, compared to the period from January 1st to August 31st, 2022, increased overall by 4.7% in nominal terms.
