INS: Turnover from wholesale trade in November 2023

In November 2023, the turnover in wholesale trade (excluding the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles) decreased, in nominal terms, compared to October 2023, as a raw series by 4.1%, while as an adjusted series for working days and seasonality, it increased by 0.2%.

Compared to November 2022, the turnover in wholesale trade (excluding the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles) in November 2023 decreased, in nominal terms, both as a raw series by 3.4% and as an adjusted series for working days and seasonality by 3.2%.

During the period January 1 to November 30, 2023, the turnover in wholesale trade (excluding the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles) increased, in nominal terms, compared to the period January 1 to November 30, 2022, both as a raw series and as an adjusted series for working days and seasonality, by 0.8% and 2.4%, respectively.

November 2023 compared to October 2023

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles), raw series, in November 2023, compared to the previous month, decreased, in nominal terms, overall by 4.1% due to the decline in turnover in wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (-20.0%), specialized wholesale trade of other products (-7.7%), wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (-2.7%), and from intermediation activities in wholesale trade (-2.5%).

Increases were recorded in wholesale trade of computer and telecommunications equipment (+3.1%), non-specialized wholesale trade (+1.1%), wholesale trade of non-food consumer goods (+0.7%), and wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco (+0.6%).

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles), adjusted series for working days and seasonality, in November 2023, compared to the previous month, increased, in nominal terms, overall by 0.2%.

November 2023 compared to November 2022

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles), raw series, in November 2023, compared to November 2022, decreased, in nominal terms, overall by 3.4% due to the decline in turnover in wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (-12.9%), wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco (-10.4%), specialized wholesale trade of other products (-10.0%), and from intermediation activities in wholesale trade (-4.1%).

Increases were recorded in non-specialized wholesale trade (+10.1%), wholesale trade of non-food consumer goods (+7.4%), wholesale trade of computer and telecommunications equipment (+6.7%), and wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+4.8%).

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles), adjusted series for working days and seasonality, in November 2023, compared to November 2022, decreased, in nominal terms, overall by 3.2%.

January 1 to November 30, 2023, compared to January 1 to November 30, 2022

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles), raw series, during the period January 1 to November 30, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, recorded an overall increase of 0.8%, due to the growth in wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+12.3%), wholesale trade of computer and telecommunications equipment (+10.6%), wholesale trade of non-food consumer goods (+9.9%), intermediation activities in wholesale trade (+7.8%), and non-specialized wholesale trade (+4.4%).

Wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco remained at the same level.

Decreases were recorded in specialized wholesale trade of other products (-9.1%) and wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (-5.6%).

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding the trade of motor vehicles and motorcycles), adjusted series for working days and seasonality, during the period January 1 to November 30, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, recorded an overall increase of 2.4%.
