Compared to November 2022, the turnover volume of trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles increased in November 2023, both in raw series by 1.9% and in seasonally adjusted series by 6.4%.

The turnover volume of market services provided to the population increased in November 2023 compared to November 2022, both in raw series by 1.6% and in seasonally adjusted series by 4.5%.

During the period from January 1 to November 30, 2023, the turnover volume of trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles increased compared to the period from January 1 to November 30, 2022, both in raw series by 12.1% and in seasonally adjusted series by 14.2%.

During the period from January 1 to November 30, 2023, the turnover volume of market services provided to the population increased compared to the period from January 1 to November 30, 2022, both in raw series by 6.2% and in seasonally adjusted series by 7.9%.

November 2023 compared to October 2023

The total turnover volume of wholesale and retail trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, raw series, in November 2023, compared to the previous month, recorded a growth of 0.6%, due to increases recorded in motorcycle trade, parts and related accessories; maintenance and repair of motorcycles (+12.0%), and trade in parts and accessories for motor vehicles (+2.7%). Declines were recorded in the activities of maintenance and repair of motor vehicles (-0.9%) and motor vehicle trade (-0.5%).

The total turnover volume of wholesale and retail trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, seasonally adjusted, in November 2023, compared to the previous month, increased by 0.2%.

Regarding market services provided to the population, raw series, in November 2023, compared to the previous month, the turnover volume recorded a decrease of 4.6%, due to declines recorded in hotel and restaurant activities (-6.7%), gambling and other recreational activities, and washing and dry-cleaning activities (-2.2%), each.

Increases were recorded in activities of travel agencies and tour operators (+6.3%) and hairdressing and other beauty treatment services (+1.1%).

The turnover volume of market services provided to the population, seasonally adjusted, in November 2023, compared to the previous month, recorded an increase of 1.5%.

November 2023 compared to November 2022

The total turnover volume of wholesale and retail trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, raw series, in November 2023, compared to November 2022, recorded an increase of 1.9%, due to increases recorded in motorcycle trade, parts and related accessories; maintenance and repair of motorcycles (+4.2%), motor vehicle trade (+3.8%), and trade in parts and accessories for motor vehicles (+1.2%).

Activities of maintenance and repair of motor vehicles decreased by 6.5%. The total turnover volume of wholesale and retail trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, seasonally adjusted, in November 2023, increased by 6.4% compared to November 2022.

The activity of market services provided to the population, raw series, in November 2023, recorded a turnover 1.6% higher compared to November 2022, due to increases in washing and dry-cleaning activities (+13.8%) and hotel and restaurant activities (+8.7%). Decreases were recorded in activities of travel agencies and tour operators (-15.1%), gambling and other recreational activities (-14.0%), and hairdressing and other beauty treatment services (-8.9%).

The activity of market services provided to the population, seasonally adjusted, in November 2023, increased by 4.5% compared to November 2022.

Period from January 1 to November 30, 2023, compared to period from January 1 to November 30, 2022

During the period from January 1 to November 30, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, the turnover volume of wholesale and retail trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, raw series, recorded a higher turnover by 12.1%, influenced by the increase in turnover in motor vehicle trade (+21.6%) and trade in parts and accessories for motor vehicles (+1.2%).

Decreases were recorded in motorcycle trade, parts and related accessories; maintenance and repair of motorcycles (-8.3%) and activities of maintenance and repair of motor vehicles (-1.1%).

During the period from January 1 to November 30, 2023, compared to the same period in 2022, the turnover volume of wholesale and retail trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, seasonally adjusted, increased by 14.2%.

The activity of market services provided to the population, raw series, during the period from January 1 to November 30, 2023, recorded a turnover 6.2% higher compared to the same period in 2022, influenced by the increase in turnover in washing and dry-cleaning activities (+35.1%) and hotel and restaurant activities (+10.1%).

Decreases were recorded in gambling and other recreational activities (-4.1%), activities of travel agencies and tour operators (-3.1%), and hairdressing and other beauty treatment services (-2.7%).
