Compared to December 2023, the turnover volume in market services provided to the population decreased in December 2024 by 1.0% as a gross series and by 1.1% as a working-day and seasonally adjusted series.

In 2024, the turnover volume in market services provided to the population decreased by 0.9% compared to 2023 as a gross series.

December 2024 vs. November 2024

In gross terms, the turnover volume of market services provided to the population increased by 0.7% in December 2024 compared to the previous month, mainly due to increases in:

• hairdressing and other beauty treatment services (+11.8%),
• gambling and other recreational activities (+5.8%),
• hotel and restaurant activities (+0.8%).

Decreases were recorded in:

• travel agency and tour operator activities (-9.1%),
• laundry and dry-cleaning services of textiles and fur products (-1.3%).

As a series adjusted for working days and seasonality, the turnover volume decreased by 0.2% in December 2024 compared to November 2024.

In gross terms, the turnover volume of market services provided to the population decreased by 1.0% in December 2024 compared to December 2023, mainly due to decreases in:

• travel agency and tour operator activities (-7.4%),
• hairdressing and other beauty treatment services (-4.4%),
• gambling and other recreational activities (-2.3%),
• hotel and restaurant activities (-0.6%).

On the other hand, laundry and dry-cleaning services of textiles and fur products increased by 26.4%.

As a series adjusted for working days and seasonality, the turnover volume decreased by 1.1% in December 2024 compared to December 2023.
