Compared to March 2022, exports in March 2023 increased by 6.5%, and imports increased by 3.5%.
During the period of January 1 to March 31, 2023, FOB exports totaled 23,814.3 million euros, while CIF imports totaled 30,616.3 million euros.
In the period of January 1 to March 31, 2023, exports increased by 8.1%, and imports increased by 4.7% compared to the same period in 2022.
The trade deficit (FOB/CIF) during the period of January 1 to March 31, 2023, was 6,802.0 million euros, which is lower by 399.7 million euros (-5.6%) than the deficit recorded in the period of January 1 to March 31, 2022.
The value of intra-EU27 goods trade in the period of January 1 to March 31, 2023, amounted to 17,478.5 million euros for exports and 22,602.3 million euros for imports, accounting for 73.4% of total exports and 73.8% of total imports. The value of extra-EU27 goods trade in the same period amounted to 6,335.8 million euros for exports and 8,014.0 million euros for imports, representing 26.6% of total exports and 26.2% of total imports.
