According to a company announcement, Joanna Borkowska-Iwanek has been promoted to the position of Senior HR Director Central Europe, providing enhanced support to the region and the leadership team.
The Central Europe region of GXO includes Poland, Germany, Romania, and the Czech Republic. In her new role, which took effect on October 1, Joanna will report to Francoise Laska, SVP HR - Continental Europe & Central Europe, and work closely with the leadership team to deliver human resource strategies aligned with the business needs and driving superior results.

The primary goal of my team will be talent attraction and retention, and I look forward to working closely with Luminita Borisov, HR Director - Romania, and Sunniva Brinkmann, HR Director - Germany, to contribute to our ambitious goals of sustainable employee development and values promotion in Central Europe.
Throughout her 15-year career at GXO, Joanna has demonstrated extensive experience, a passion for human resources, and her role in supporting the business. Earlier this year, she was named a "Pro to Know 2023" by the prestigious logistics magazine Supply & Demand Chain Executive for her efforts to make GXO an excellent workplace and support the communities in which GXO operates.
She also supports the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals in the human resources field by organizing diversity webinars, participating in logistics conferences, and partnering with top universities in Poland to develop GXO's employer branding program, "Academy."
Joanna is fluent in English and French and holds a degree in psychology from the University of Warsaw and in human resources and employee competency management from Kozminski University.
