Kaufland Romania Opens Fourth Store in Baia Mare, Supporting the Local Community
Kaufland Romania has opened its fourth store in Baia Mare, creating over 70 new jobs and further strengthening its commitment to the local community. With this opening, the company’s network reaches 190 stores nationwide.
Store Location and Eco-Friendly Initiatives
The new hypermarket, located at Str. Vasile Lucaciu no. 163, spans over 5,700 square meters, with a sales area of 2,600 square meters. This Kaufland store stands out through its significant contribution to environmental protection. In the parking area, young trees have been planted across 2,000 square meters, with one tree for every three parking spaces.
As they grow, these trees will gradually transform the area into a green space, providing natural shade. Additionally, over 1,000 square meters of photovoltaic panels have been installed on the store's roof, representing an investment of approximately €300,000. These panels will generate green energy and reduce CO₂ emissions by over 150 tons annually.
