According to a company announcement, Kaufland Romania continues its investments in Romania, inaugurating its 172nd hypermarket in Urziceni.

The new store is located at 93-97 Calea București and generates 75 jobs in the local economy. It will open to the public on Thursday, November 2nd, with customers expected to find promotional offers on a wide range of food and non-food products.

Subsequently, the store will operate daily from 07:00 to 22:00, Monday to Saturday, and on Sunday from 08:00 to 20:00.

Built on a total area of 5,000 m2, the hypermarket offers a sales area of almost 3,000 m2 and an extended parking lot with over 250 capacity. The area provides 12 parking spaces for people with disabilities, 6 spaces for parents, an electric car charging station, and bike racks.

Kaufland Urziceni offers customers access to a varied assortment, featuring an assisted fresh product display with a length of over 18 meters, an extended fruit and vegetable section, bakery, frozen products, dairy products, basic groceries, sweets, toiletries, beverages, and non-food products.

The exterior Grill Point offers options for a quick and warm meal, such as rotisserie chicken, plain or with garlic, neck, sausages, french fries, and more.

For quick shopping payments, the store is equipped with 13 cash registers, including 6 express self-checkout, and 7 standard cash registers.

In the shopping gallery, various stores and services are available, including AnaEli confectionery, Dr. Max pharmacy, OptiSmart optical medical store, Animax pet products store, and the Exchange Office currency exchange.

To encourage recycling and responsible behavior among its customers, the new Kaufland store in Urziceni also provides separate waste collection systems:

At the store entrance, customers will find a double recycling machine, self-service type, where they can deposit packaging in exchange for extra-discount vouchers. They can collect three types of packaging: PET bottles (up to 3 liters), glass, and aluminum cans (up to 1 liter).

Also at the entrance, in the specially arranged space in the form of a turtle, customers can deposit for recycling packaging from personal care or cleaning products and will be instantly rewarded with 35% discount vouchers for purchasing other new products from the monthly offer.

Customers can deposit empty plastic bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body or face cream, mouthwash, or liquid soap, as well as empty containers of cleaning products such as laundry or dish detergent, kitchen, bathroom, floor, or window cleaners. Vouchers can be collected from the Information Desk in the store.
