Kaufland Romania, an active promoter of diversity and inclusion in the workplace and in society, has launched a recruitment announcement for individuals with hearing impairments.
Kaufland Dance Talk is the first announcement that integrates the recruitment message into a unique TikTok challenge. It has received a positive response on social media, with millions of impressions and views gathered.
The TikTok challenge involves a dance tutorial created with the help of a choreographer and sign language interpreters. It was promoted on social networks to encourage amateur dancers to recreate the dance moves, with the chance to win attractive prizes.
Kaufland Dance Talk hides a recruitment message dedicated to individuals with hearing impairments within the dance moves reproduced by all those who accepted the challenge.
"In a complex society, it is important to embrace diversity in all its forms. At Kaufland, diversity and inclusion are of major importance. We consistently promote an organizational culture based on transparency and collaboration and implement projects dedicated to people with disabilities.
This was the purpose of the Kaufland Dance Talk project - to get closer to people with hearing impairments in an authentic and fun way, and especially to invite them to join us, as we have over 500 positions open for new colleagues who want to be part of our team," said Estera Anghelescu, Recruiting & Employer Branding Director, Kaufland Romania, and the Republic of Moldova.
The Kaufland Dance Talk challenge was also integrated into the Kaufland corner at renowned festivals such as UNTOLD and Nostalgia. Numerous individuals joined this challenge by creating videos of the Kaufland dance, spreading the unique recruitment message for people with hearing impairments on social media.
On TikTok and Meta platforms, the challenge achieved positive results, with over 20 million impressions and over 7.5 million reach. Furthermore, the hashtag #KauflandDanceTalk gathered 13.8 million views, all of which demonstrated the success of the project presented in a creative and unique way.
Kaufland supports diversity and social inclusion, being an employer for whom equal opportunities are one of the fundamental pillars for integrating employees into the workplace. To provide an accessible environment for all colleagues, the company has been running the A.C.C.E.S. (Hiring Candidates with Special Needs and Requirements) program since 2019.
Through this program, anyone can find their place in Kaufland - a united, diverse, and professional team.
