Profi, a Romanian company headquartered in Timișoara, is supporting as the main partner the first edition of the National Super Rally Championship in this locality. The competition is part of the calendar of the Romanian Motorsport Federation.

"The rapid development of our network of stores with daily low prices for residents across the country is reminiscent of the speed and precision demonstrated by Super Rally competitors," says Gabriela Sîrbu, Director of Sustainability at Profi.

"We are proud to establish the Profi Trophy to support the current edition of the competition, bringing an added interest to the European cultural capital, which is also the capital of our store network."

Under these auspices, for two days on the street circuit of Piața Iancu Huniade, motorsport enthusiasts will be able to watch their heroes in action. A total of 30 top competitors are set to start in the 3.5 km Timișoara circuit, which consists of three laps with chicanes designed to increase its level of difficulty.

This afternoon, administrative and technical checks take place, and starting from 19:30, the Festive Start will be held with the presentation of competitors at Iulius Town. On Saturday, reconnaissance runs will begin at 09:00, followed by the four practice runs scheduled for 10:00.

The two competition runs will be broadcast live on Prima Sport and the FRAS YouTube channel, starting at 14:00. The winners of the Profi Trophy stage will be awarded at the Awards Ceremony in the service park at 16:00.

With 28,000 employees in 1,653 company-owned stores and Partner stores present in 803 urban and rural localities, Profi is the largest private employer in Romania. PROFI SUPER, PROFI CITY, PROFI GO, and PROFI LOCO, the four store formats of the network, offer a range of 5,000 products appreciated by over 1.2 million customers who shop daily in these stores.

More than 94% of these products come from suppliers in Romania. The company's turnover of 11.6 billion lei places it third in the Romanian retail industry.
