Artesana, the pioneering Romanian brand in minimally processed dairy products, was awarded the International Food Transition Awards by the renowned global retailer Carrefour, in a ceremony held on Friday, March 29, 2024, in Paris, France.
This international distinction once again underscores Artesana's commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in the dairy product industry.
The International Food Transition Awards, hosted by Carrefour and now in its third edition, aim to honor companies demonstrating remarkable efforts in addressing the five main challenges of food transition: health and nutrition, environmentally friendly packaging, sustainable and ecological agriculture, responsible communication, and transparency. Artesana stood out as a remarkable competitor among numerous international participants, showcasing its dedication to promoting positive changes in the dairy product landscape. This year, in the category of local suppliers, six companies selected from Carrefour's global suppliers were awarded.
Moreover, the Romanian producer from Tecuci, Galați County, has long been recognized for its unwavering commitment to producing high-quality dairy products while prioritizing environmental sustainability and consumer welfare. Since its inception, the brand has embraced innovative practices aimed at reducing ecological footprint, including sustainable sourcing, eco-friendly packaging, and ethical animal husbandry.
"We are extremely honored to receive the International Food Transition Award from Carrefour, as evidence of our commitment to sustainability and efforts to ensure a better future for our children," said Daniel Donici, Managing Partner of Artesana.
"Since we started our business twelve years ago, we have supported local production, packaging in endlessly recyclable glass, and minimal milk processing to offer quality and nutritious products.
Carrefour Romania has been a trusted partner from the beginning, helping us amplify these values, and we aspire to expand this partnership."
