In July 2023, the turnover in wholesale trade (excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles) increased, in nominal terms, compared to June 2023, as a raw series by 5.1%, while as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, it decreased by 0.6%.

Compared to July 2022, the turnover in wholesale trade (excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles) in July 2023, decreased, in nominal terms, both as a raw series by 2.9% and as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality by 1.5%.

In the period from January 1 to July 31, 2023, the turnover in wholesale trade (excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles) increased, in nominal terms, compared to the period from January 1 to July 31, 2022, both as a raw series and as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, by 3.2% and 5.5%, respectively.

July 2023 compared to June 2023

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles), as a raw series, in July 2023, compared to the previous month, increased, in nominal terms, overall by 5.1%, due to the growth in wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (+53.4%), turnover in wholesale intermediary activities (+14.8%), and non-specialized wholesale trade (+1.3%).

Decreases were recorded in wholesale trade of computer and telecommunications equipment (-9.5%), specialized wholesale trade of other products (-2.3%), wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (-1.3%), wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco (-0.3%), and wholesale trade of consumer goods other than food (-0.2%).

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles), as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, in July 2023, compared to the previous month, decreased, in nominal terms, overall by 0.6%.

July 2023 compared to July 2022

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles), as a raw series, in July 2023, compared to July 2022, decreased, in nominal terms, overall by 2.9%, mainly due to the decline in turnover in wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (-15.5%) and in specialized wholesale trade of other products (-14.4%).

Increases were observed in wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+14.0%), wholesale trade of computer and telecommunications equipment (+11.2%), wholesale trade of consumer goods other than food (+9.7%), non-specialized wholesale trade (+1.7%), intermediary activities in wholesale trade (+1.3%), and wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco (+0.1%).

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles), as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, in July 2023, compared to July 2022, decreased, in nominal terms, overall by 1.5%.

Period from January 1 to July 31, 2023, compared to the period from January 1 to July 31, 2022

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles), as a raw series, in the period from January 1 to July 31, 2023, compared to the period from January 1 to July 31, 2022, recorded an increase, in nominal terms, overall by 3.2%, mainly due to the growth in intermediary activities in wholesale trade (+16.1%), wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+16.1%), wholesale trade of computer and telecommunications equipment (+14.1%), wholesale trade of consumer goods other than food (+10.6%), wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco (+5.2%), and non-specialized wholesale trade (+2.4%).

Decreases were observed in specialized wholesale trade of other products (-7.6%) and wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (-3.4%).

The turnover in wholesale trade (excluding motor vehicles and motorcycles), as a series adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality, in the period from January 1 to July 31, 2023, compared to the period from January 1 to July 31, 2022, increased, in nominal terms, overall by 5.5%.
