According to a press release, the Integrated Consortium for Dual Education (CIID), funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), with USAMV Cluj-Napoca as the project leader, has received funding of 21.12 million euros.
The consortium was formed based on a regional partnership agreement with a minimum duration of 15 years and its main objective is the professional training of students to facilitate their integration into the labor market upon graduation from secondary and tertiary education. CIID includes 23 partners.
"The goal of the pilot program is to develop a dual education system focused on the needs of students and closely linked to the labor market's demands. The program aims to ensure the diversification of qualifications in line with the labor market and increase the number of graduates by providing a complete educational path for students enrolled in the dual education system at the high school level, so that they can follow university-level education programs.
Professional training must become efficient and relevant to the labor market's needs, and the social infrastructure needs to increase the attractiveness of professional education through accommodation and meal facilities, laboratories, sports and multimedia halls, and recreational activities.
The infrastructure of this campus will also include an important digitization component," said the Rector of USAMV Cluj-Napoca, Prof. Dr. Cornel Cătoi.
The funding is primarily intended for the construction and operationalization of the integrated campus for dual education on a 30,000 m2 land owned by USAMV CN, located in Florești commune, Răzoare area (Șapca Verde). The eligible value of the project is approximately 21,120,000 euros.
The project has achieved 88 points, indicating that the efforts have been successful in promoting and developing dual education in key areas for the North-West Region.
