During the working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, the joint delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority, led by Secretary of State Adrian PINTEA and President Alexandru BOCIU, held meetings with the leadership of the Hassan II Agronomic and Veterinary Institute, counterparts from the National Office of Food Safety, and specialists from the National Institute for Agronomic Research in Rabat, with the main objective being the consolidation and expansion of current bilateral cooperation.

In this context, the working meeting of Romanian officials with experts from IAV Hassan II provided a good opportunity to reaffirm the willingness of both parties to intensify the development of joint projects in the field of research, based on the complementarity of the agricultural profile of the two states. It was also agreed to establish a strong and functional networking system between the relevant institutions in Romania and the Kingdom of Morocco.

The working session also included visits to specialized units within IAV, including laboratories and the veterinary clinical hospital.

As for the dialogue between representatives of ANSVSA and their counterparts from ONSSA, it focused on areas of mutual interest, such as establishing models for health certificates for the export/import of live animals, primarily sheep and cattle, meat and meat products from poultry, fish and fish derivatives.

It was agreed to consistently exchange experiences in various sectors of mutual interest in Bucharest and Rabat, involving experts from the relevant institutions as well as representatives from the private sector.

The working meeting of the joint delegation of MADR and ANSVSA with experts from the National Institute for Agronomic Research (INRA) allowed for an exchange of opinions on promoting organic agriculture and sustainable development, climate change and its negative consequences, primarily affecting air and soil quality, methods for combating drought, and digitization in the field of agriculture.

The working session concluded with a visit to the Experimental Botanical Garden of INRA. Throughout the duration of the visit, discussions and cooperation were strengthened between the Romanian and Moroccan counterparts.
