The investment reaffirms the company's commitment to the region.

The Timișoara warehouse, one of Diageo's most important hubs in Europe, has increased its capacity by over 166%, now being the largest bonded warehouse in Romania. This is the result of the company's plans to expand its storage capacity, improve its operational capabilities and agility to meet the growing demand for Diageo products.

With this expansion, the warehouse's storage capacity has increased from 3,000 to 8,000 pallets, and the company could triple its operations to 18 trucks per day, thereby reducing the delivery time to one-third of the initial time.

The hub, inaugurated in Dudeștii Noi, Timiș County, in September 2021, currently serves Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia. The total coverage has increased from 20.5 million bottles to 25 million and from 10.5 million to 13 million liters with the expansion. Thanks to the Global Diageo Track & Trace system, Diageo can trace every bottle from production to distributors in each country.

The company successfully completed the authorization process in April.
