GXO Logistics, Inc. (NYSE: GXO), the world's largest provider of dedicated contract logistics services, has announced the promotion of Adrian Stoch to the newly created role of Chief Automation Officer, a position established to meet the huge demand for automation from clients.
This position, reporting to CEO Malcolm Wilson, will have global responsibility for establishing top-notch automation capabilities across the GXO network, generating new business opportunities and promoting the company's clear advantage in automation. Stoch will closely collaborate with Sandeep Sakharkar, Chief Information Officer of GXO, to continue developing and executing the company's technology strategy and offerings.

"Given the oversized customer demand we see for technology and automated solutions, we are intensifying our focus on this essential growth factor to create increasingly better experiences and offerings for our customers as we establish GXO as an undisputed leader in supply chain automation capabilities."
The Chief Automation Officer will be responsible for a team of global technology leaders focusing on automation and optimization of key warehouse processing paths, as well as cross-company collaboration in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and digital integration.
Across its global network, GXO has rapidly accelerated the implementation of automation and artificial intelligence, significantly boosting productivity alongside the benefits of storage technology. As GXO expands its leadership position, Stoch will continue to expand the scope and capabilities of the role.
Previously, Stoch served as President of the Consumer division in the Americas and Asia-Pacific region of GXO, where he led record commercial gains and spearheaded significant automation expansion in many of GXO's largest US locations for a range of top brands, including Adidas, H&M, L'Oréal, and Spanx.
Stoch has over three decades of experience in various industries, including omnichannel retail, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing. Before joining GXO, Stoch held leadership positions in operations at Target, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, and Cardinal Health.
