INS: The balance of foreign trade with agricultural products remains negative

In February 2024, FOB exports totaled 7956.9 million euros, while CIF imports totaled 10130.9 million euros, resulting in a deficit of 2174.0 million euros.

Compared to February 2023, exports in February 2024 increased by 1.0%, while imports increased by 2.0%.

During the period January 1st to February 29th, 2024, FOB exports amounted to 15042.0 million euros, while CIF imports amounted to 19184.0 million euros.

During the period January 1st to February 29th, 2024, exports decreased by 0.1%, and imports decreased by 1.2%, compared to the period January 1st to February 28th, 2023.

The trade balance deficit (FOB/CIF) during the period January 1st to February 29th, 2024, was 4142.0 million euros, which was lower by 228.4 million euros (-5.2%) than the deficit recorded during the period January 1st to February 28th, 2023.

Regarding the balance of agro-industrial products, according to the data analyzed by the National Institute of Statistics (INS), exports were valued at approximately 1.1 billion euros, while imports were 1.8 billion euros. (Photo: Dreamstime)
