Compared to April 2023, wholesale trade turnover (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles) in April 2024 increased, both in gross terms by 10.1% and in terms adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality by 2.0%.

For the period January 1st to April 30th, 2024, wholesale trade turnover (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles) increased compared to the period January 1st to April 30th, 2023, both in gross terms by 2.1% and in terms adjusted for the number of working days and seasonality by 2.3%.

April 2024 compared to March 2024

Wholesale trade turnover (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), gross series, in April 2024 compared to the previous month, decreased overall by 1.3%, due to a decrease in wholesale trade turnover of raw agricultural products and live animals (-20.3%), specialized wholesale trade in other products (-7.0%), wholesale trade of computer and telecommunications equipment (-4.7%), and activities of intermediaries in wholesale trade (-0.3%).

Increases were recorded in wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco products (+12.6%), non-specialized wholesale trade (+5.4%), and wholesale trade of consumer goods other than food (+1.7%).

Wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies remained unchanged. Wholesale trade turnover (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), adjusted series for the number of working days and seasonality, in April 2024 compared to the previous month, decreased overall by 0.2%.

April 2024 compared to April 2023

Wholesale trade turnover (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), gross series, in April 2024 compared to April 2023, increased overall by 10.1%, due to an increase in non-specialized wholesale trade (+36.8%), specialized wholesale trade in other products (+28.6%), wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+21.5%), wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco products (+13.5%), wholesale trade of computer and telecommunications equipment (+11.4%), and wholesale trade of consumer goods other than food (+1.4%).

Decreases were recorded in wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (-17.5%) and activities of intermediaries in wholesale trade (-4.7%).

Wholesale trade turnover (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), adjusted series for the number of working days and seasonality, in April 2024 compared to April 2023, increased overall by 2.0%.

Wholesale trade turnover (excluding trade in motor vehicles and motorcycles), gross series, in the period January 1st to April 30th, 2024 compared to the period January 1st to April 30th, 2023, increased overall by 2.1%, due to an increase in non-specialized wholesale trade (+18.7%), specialized wholesale trade in other products (+14.0%), wholesale trade of other machinery, equipment, and supplies (+10.9%), and wholesale trade of raw agricultural products and live animals (+0.3%).

Decreases were recorded in activities of intermediaries in wholesale trade (-9.2%), wholesale trade of consumer goods other than food (-6.8%), wholesale trade of food products, beverages, and tobacco products (-2.1%), and wholesale trade of computer and telecommunications equipment (-0.6%).
