Lyubomir Spasov Appointed Country Topline Unit Leader at Danone Romania
Bucharest, March 2025 – Danone announces the appointment of Lyubomir Spasov as the new Country Topline Unit Leader for Danone Romania, following his previous role as Sales Director at Danone Bulgaria.
Lyubomir Spasov joined Danone in 2015, holding several key management positions within Danone Bulgaria, including Commercial Development Manager, National Field Sales Manager, and National Key Account Manager.
With over 23 years of experience in retail and FMCG, he has built a distinguished career in renowned international companies such as Maxium Bulgaria, Devin, and British American Tobacco. In his new role, Spasov will lead the commercial operations of Danone Romania, supporting the company’s continued growth and strengthening its market leadership in yogurt and plant-based products.

In this new position, he succeeds Oana Bejan, who was part of Danone Romania for 12 years and has now chosen to pursue a new professional chapter.

The Danone factory in Bucharest is recognized as one of the company’s top-performing plants in Europe, using exclusively Romanian milk sourced from local farmers and producers, and supplying dairy products not only for Romania but also for 14 other European countries.
At the end of 2023, Danone Romania received B Corp certification, joining the global movement for sustainability. This milestone places the company in the Central and Eastern Europe regional group, alongside Bulgaria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
