As a result of the vandalism of Romanian transports carrying agri-food products in France, imported from Romania by recipients in that country, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs responded through Radu Filip, the spokesperson, who stated on behalf of the institution:

"The Embassy of Romania in Paris and the Consulates General of Romania in Paris and Lyon have contacted the legal representative of the respective company to obtain all additional information regarding this incident that occurred on January 24 in France.

Following this attack, as stated by the truck drivers, the two trucks carrying the company's goods were stopped by a group of participants in the farmers' protest, vandalized, and the transported goods were damaged.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has requested the specific procedures and the transmission of the necessary documents that the Romanian company needs to resolve administrative procedures with the insurer.

I can assure Romanian citizens who were in this situation that the diplomatic representations of Romania in France continue the dialogue with the French authorities and the representative of the company in question, precisely prepared to provide consular assistance according to legal competencies," emphasized Radu Filip.
